Nikol Pashinyan: “I consider that the IT sphere is just the forerunner to break the barriers of impossibility”
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the 18th annual conference of the Union of Information Technology Enterprises (UITE).
Welcoming the conference participants, the Prime Minister noted that the development of information technologies is a priority for the government of Armenia.
“There is an important nuance in why we prioritize the development of information technologies. To my mind, it is not just a practical issue, but rather an ideological one. In our perception, the IT industry is a tool that can expand the scope of possibilities and squeeze what we call impossible. I think that the most important feature of this period in Armenia is that the impossible appears to be more and more feasible, and the limits of it are expanding in all spheres of public life,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
The Head of Government noted that this is the most important ideological issue of the current period, because the Republic of Armenia and its people have been blocked for many years by what we call “impossibility.”
“Today we can state that there is nothing impossible for us, our goals are realistic, and their implementation is our practical task regardless of how much others believe it to possible. I consider that the IT sphere is just the forerunner to break the barriers of impossibility, and you may be assured that you have the Government’s full support.
We have initiated the process of narrowing the boundaries of impossibility; we should not stop there, and the Republic of Armenia, the citizens of Armenia and the Armenian people should assume the role of a pioneer.
Yes, today the world holds us as pioneers, and with ever new achievements, we should spring a nice surprise on the international community, our people, the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh. I am grateful for your readiness and determination to support the Armenian people,” Prime Minister Pashinyan said, addressing the forum.
