St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (IPTF)

The St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (IPTF) is a special event in the economy, in the business world and today it started its work which will continue until June 8 at the Expo Center. It is a platform for contacts between political figures from around the world and leaders of international organizations. Economic meetings, roundtables, discussions will be held within the framework of the forum with the participation of business representatives.

Implementation of interstate programs of CIS countries in the sphere of innovation cooperation continues in the post-Soviet countries.

During the forum issues of the field will be discussed:

What possibilities within the digital agenda have Interstate cooperations in modern conditions? How does the labor market change within the CIS countries?

What are the priorities of financing intergovernmental projects for future economic development? What can be the industrial subcontractor and co-operation, as well as technology transfer within the framework of the Cooperation? Does the intergovernmental clusters have any future in the field of high technology?

As part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, June 8, as part of the so-called The Youth Day of the Forum, the Coordination Council for Youth in the Scientific and Educational Spheres of the Council under the President of the Russian Federation on Science and Education (hereinafter referred to as the CC) organizes the session “The Role of Young Scientists' Communities in Implementing International Scientific and Technological Projects”

The global world requires global cooperation - there are no country-specific challenges or national science, international teams are capable of much more effective solutions and approaches in solving scientific problems. At this session, it is planned to discuss how communities of young scientists from different countries can solve global problems and what role they play in shaping the sustainable development agenda. 

The interaction of communities of young scientists in the CIS space.

  • Gevorg Vardanyan, Chairman of the Interstate Coordination Council on Science and Technical Information, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Director of the National Center of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Yerevan, (Armenia). Gevorg Vardanyan was the speaker of two sectors.

Session on innovation became the unique thematic session of the forum devoted to The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). Working out of the Interstate program on innovative cooperation till 2030 became the basic theme of the session which has passed in final day. Implementation of this program should allow scientists and businessmen on space of the CIS to share «technological and innovative potentials» (first of all, the research centres and technologies) to have equal access to the markets of technological and innovative products and the general market of highly technological services and also to develop joint profile educational programs.

What role of community of young scientists play in formation of the agenda of a sustainable development? The answer to this question in a debatable form was discussed by the assistant of the President of the Russian Federation Andrey Fursenko, Science and Education under the Presidential Council for Science and Education, Chair of the Coordination Council for Youth Affairs in the Sphere of Science .Nikita Marchenkov, the chairman of Interstate Coordination Council under the Scientific and Technical Information  Gevorg Vardanyan, President of the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina, Head of International Relations Department, Lucian Brujan, the chairman of Council of young scientists of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrey Kotelnikov, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences of Chinese National Republic Van Chensin and others.
