In Japan created the self-healing glass

A group of researchers from Tokyo University have created glass that is recovered, if it is broken. It is reported by the broadcaster NHK.
It is noted that initially worked on a new adhesive means, using soft, like a rubber substance — politologiya. However, in the course of the experiment, the substance hardened, smooth to the touch and returns to its original shape after deformation.
The researchers tried to make this glass material. It turned out that if to tear it in two parts, and then combine the halves and put pressure on them, then ten seconds later, the glass is restored. If the pressure to save for several hours, as found by experts, this glass gets its previous strength.
The researchers noted that politologiia easily restored after the deformation at high temperatures in the “mild form”. However, rarely managed to achieve this effect in its solid state.
