Named the main threat to the human brain

American scientists at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center conducted a special study and proved that urban air pollution associated with transportation is one of the main threats to people's brains.
The experiment involved 147 children. During the first year of  life, “experimentals” were exposed to various effects of air aerosols, as was determined from the analysis of samples taken in 27 places in the city of Cincinnati.
Scientists have found that polluted air causes a decrease in the volume of gray matter and the thickness of the cortical layer. And this can affect the development of various mental and physical processes.
