Massive Solar Storms May Shutdown Internet Around The World

Solar storms are known to cause damage to electrical grids and can crash Internet.
The Internet infrastructure is reportedly exposed to a range of threats, including various natural disasters, major cyberattacks, and other unpredictable events. A severe solar storm is also on this list.
The fact is that during a magnetic storm, the Sun spews out a large mass of highly magnetized particles, which can disrupt the operation of the Earth's magnetic field and even damage power lines. This, in turn, can turn off the global Internet for several months.
