Vordan Karmir may enter UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list

The crimson carmine dyestuff Armenian cochineal, commonly known as Vordan Karmir may be included inUNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list, Sard, an Armenia-based chain store said.
“We’ll soon submit the proposal to Armenia’s UNESCO committee,” Sard said. Already included in the List of the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity are the Duduk and its music; Armenian cross-stones art. Symbolism and craftsmanship of Khachkars, Performance of the Armenian epic of “Daredevils of Sassoun” or “David of Sassoun;” and Lavash, the preparation, meaning and appearance of traditional bread as an expression of culture in Armenia.
