Mont Blanc, has dropped by almost a meter
The tallest mountain in Western Europe, Mont Blanc, has dropped nearly a meter in four years. Data from the geodesic expedition, which took place from 16 to 18 September, indicate that the current height of the mountain is 4,807.81 meters. Furthermore, in 2017, Mont Blanc reached 4,808.72 meters.
Experts explain the change in the height of the mountain with a decrease in the snow cover at the top. On average, Mont Blanc loses ten centimeters per year.
