Project objective

Improving the transportation infrastructure in Armenia through rehabilitating the existing operating central railway system.

Project description

The railway will start from Gagarin station and will go to town Agarak in the southern border, and then it will pass through Gavar, Martuni, Karmrashen, Jermuk, Tsghuk, Tatev, Kapan and Meghri. The railway length is 271, 71km.

Construction commencement will be in 2015 and operation data in 2021, operation period 30 years from the end of the construction.

Construction and operation of mechanical-biological waste treatment (MBT) plant in solid waste management in the Republic of Armenia.

 Project description

MBT is a waste treatment technology that partially processes mixed household waste by mechanically removing some parts of the waste and by biologically treating others, so that enabling the recovery of the resources contained in the waste and reducing and stabilizing the residual fraction.The technology is mainly designed to treat mixed municipal solid domestic waste, usually have also established parallel systems for collection of recyclables (glass, metals, paper, cardboard, plastics) obtained by source separation in households.
