An expedition to a deep-sea ridge north of the Hawaiian islands revealed the strange-looking yellow brick road of rocks, according to reports.
The rock formation was spotted by the crew of the exploration vessel Nautilus after they used a remotely operated vehicle to study the Liliuokalani Ridge Seamounts in Hawaii.
The main aim of the exploration was to investigate a split in the seamount trail.
