The Dead Sea will dry up by 2050

For a number of years, the Dead Sea, located in the Jordan Valley with the Eastern shore in Jordan and the Western shore in Israel, the Dead Sea has been losing its water and now it's sinking by about three feet per year which is causing fears both in Jordan and Israel that the Dead Sea could literally dry up by the year 2050.

One of the main ideas being considered by Jordan and Israel is the Red Dead Conveyance Project, a project that would involve digging a canal and using a series of water pipeline conduits that could bring water from the Red Sea to the Dead Sea in order to bring the Dead Sea water level back to normal.
