Solar Impulse - Around the world in a solar airplane

The plane "Solar impulse" is designed in Switzerland and works exclusively on solar batteries. The unique plane has risen in the sky at the airport of Dallas  and has overcome 900 km of a way, having stayed in air about 21 hours. . The monoplane, which weight makes 1,6 tons, moves with speed of an order of 64 km at an o'clock. One of the purposes of the organizers of the American flight of "the Solar impulse" is the  advancement of alternative energy sources and search of the investors, ready to support to the project development.
