A device is created capable to remove with a speed 1 trln shots in a second

Scientists have created a camera, capable to do one billion shots a second. The device - STAMP – Sequentially Timed All-optical Mapping Photography – can render considerable aid to researchers in shooting of various processes occurring on high speed. The principle of work of a camera is based on a light dispersion. The chamber displays a ray of light on separate beams of different colours, directs them on object, and then combines the received images. The first version of the chamber has been created in August of last year. Then the device was capable to do only six images simultaneously, now their quantity has increased to 25. However scientists are assured, as it not a limit: they are going to work further over the improvement of the chamber and to finish number of simultaneously received images to 100.
