Mutation provoking the excessive use of alcohol

There is a mutation provoking the excessive use of alcohol, the British scientists have found out. In particular, they managed to establish that mutation in gene Gabrb1 leads to the fact that animals start to use a large quantity of alcohol. They have made an experiment on mice with a mutation in the given gene. Scientists have noticed that animals whom was given choice:  alcohol or water, the animals took alcohol.
