China will organise Olympic Games for robots

The first International Olympic Games of humanoid robots (International Humanoid Robot Olympic Games) will pass in June, 2010 in the northeast of China in the city of Harbin. The announcement of it was made on November, 4th by representatives of the Harbin institute of technology and organizers of the China National Conference of Artificial Intelligence).

According to the message of agency Xinhua in Games will take part nearly 100 universities from 20 countries that to competitions will be admitted exclusively robots in "a human kind": with two feet and two hands. Any wheel robots.

Cars will compete in 16 "sports kinds", broken on five categories. Among them track and field athletics, ball game, struggle and dances. Besides, among robots the best house servants (here, for example, cleaning and medical aid rendering are meant) will be defined.
