The handle works on the basis of Linux. Special gauges trace movements and allow to find out errors, and in case of their detection one can hear the vibrating signal.

Lernstift works in two modes: a calligraphy and spelling. In a mode of a calligraphy the handle notifies on errors in calligraphy, and in a spelling mode reveals spelling and grammatical errors. Sensor controls allow to recognize handwriting, even when writing in the air, therefore it is possible to write messages even, not having near at hand any surface for the letter. It is besides, provided module for transfer of the written text on the personal computer.
