Cassidian has developed “silencer” for road mines

Company Cassidian, defensive division of European concern EADS, has developed new a system of radio-electronic “silencer”  SMARTscout for protection of armoured cars from operated improvised explosive devices.

SMARTscout analyzes a spectrum of radio frequencies round the car and blocks signals for blasting of road mines. New “silencer” is capable to find out threat and to suppress entering signals for blasting of mines for a thousand share of second. Besides, SMARTscout allows to receive more detailed information on threats, than similar systems of the previous generations power-intensive systems.

Besides the company Cassidian, in particular, is engaged in working out of various means of tracking, gauges, onboard electronics, and also pilotless flying machines.
