Armenia received six awards in the "Book Art" international competition
The 20th international "Book Art" competition was held in Moscow, to which 49 publications from 6 CIS countries were represented.
KGMS informs NEWS.am that the activities of Armenia's participation in the "Book Art" international competition were coordinated by the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. Before the international stage of the competition, the National Library of Armenia created an Armenian committee that selected the books to be sent to the competition. The Armenian representative of the international competition jury was Anna Chulyan, director of the said library. Armenia was represented in seven nominations. Six books of Armenian publishers were awarded honorable places.
The second prize in the "Cooperation" category was awarded to the Russian-English picture book "Armenian Collections of the Museum of Russian Ethnography", which was published by order of the RA Ministry of Education and Culture (Institute of Archeology and Ethnography of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, 2022).
The first prize in the "My Country" category was awarded to the English picture book "Historical and Cultural Heritage of Armenia", which was published by order of the RA Ministry of Education and Culture ("Historical and Cultural Heritage Scientific Research Center", 2022).
Zaven Boyajyan and Ruzanna Bagratunyan's English picture book "Hamo Beknazaryan" was awarded the second prize in the "Cultural dialogue" category, which was published on the order of the RA Ministry of Education and Culture within the framework of the 100th anniversary of Armenian cinema ("Antares" publishing house, 2022).
The selection of Armenian-English poems and ballads "Tumanyan to the Children of the World" (Edit Print Publishing House, 2022) won the second prize in the "Children's book" category.
The first prize in the "Science and Education" category was awarded to the French picture book-study "The Manuscript Heritage of Artsakh and Utik", which was published by the order of the RA Ministry of Education and Culture ("Matenadaran" Research Institute of Ancient Manuscripts named after M. Mashtots, 2022).
Gevorg Brutyan's Armenian-English picture book "Armenian Costume" (Edit Print Publishing House, 2022) won the third prize in the "Art Book" category.
