The mutation provoking the excessive use of alcohol is revealed

There is a mutation provoking the excessive use of alcohol, the magazine Nature Communications have found out.

In particular, they managed to establish, that mutation in gene Gabrb1 leads to the fact that animals start to use a large  quantity of an alcohol.

They have made the experiment in mice. The  scientists have noticed, that animals to whom offered an alcohol or water, in 85 % of cases throughout day took alcohol.

The scientists intend to find out, if the same is  revealed mong people.
