Artificial intelligence could destabilize the world order if governments do not take action. Oliver Dowden, the Deputy Prime Minister of Great Britain, gave such a warning to the United Nations.
In November, the UK will host a global summit to discuss the regulation of artificial intelligence. Without rules, there are fears that AI could ultimately destroy jobs, increase misinformation or increase discrimination.
In the past, governments created rules in response to technological developments, but now rules must be created alongside the development of artificial intelligence.
