A new sea will appear In the Ethiopian desert

Scientists-geophysics from Ethiopia, the USA and the Europe have come to conclusion, that recently appeared break in rocky breed in northeast of the country testifies to the beginning of formation of the new sea.

The break which was stretched more than on 50 kilometers, now reaches width in four meters, and is in the area of desert Afar. It was formed after earthquake which happens in this area on September, 14th.

Each year east part of Ethiopia will keep away from other African continent approximately on two centimeters. “ Sooner or later, with expansion of a break, in it water from Red sea and gulf of Aden will start to act ”, - one of the scientists studying this phenomenon speaks. As a result, on a place of present desert  new golf and then the sea is formed all over again. As the scientists believe, it will occur approximately through one million years.

For constant supervision over origin of the new sea, scientists from the several countries plan to build constant scientific camp not far from the break.
