Predatory plant

In mountain district of the central Philippines a new kind of huge predatory plants has been found which eat small rodents, birds and insects. These plants are similar to a water-lily and its "jug" by which the plant swallows the victims, is the largest among all carnivorous plants.

The huge jug grows only on mountain Victoria anywhere in other places this plant was not found out till now.

  As a rule, carnivorous plants exist in several forms. There are at least 6 different kinds of plants which eat living beings.

As to the scientists, all carnivorous plants are capable to eat as usual plants. Usually such plants live in the places impoverished by nitrogen, and animals use as an additional source of nitrogen.
